Friday Feature – Cori Dantini

I met Cori Dantini a few years ago at a craft fair and fell in love with her work!  It was overall a rather boring and normal craft fair until I saw her work!  She had these colorful, illustrative, whimsical people and animals dancing and flying around in the images with tiny and interesting little details around them.  Cori’s work incorporates old letters, ledgers and maps into the background which sometimes serve as the inspiration for the piece.  A little phrase usually accompanies the characters adding a kind of motivational or inspiring element to the art.  Overall her at always just makes me happy!  I love the pattern detail she draws into the characters and the fun flowers and nature elements she draws in as well.  Cori creates such a playful and creative world in her paintings.  We actually have quite the collection of her work in our home now since I have to pick up a few new pieces every time I see her at a show.
